It’s all about the global view. No, it’s not about traveling…well maybe mentally traveling!
So often I hear from clients and podcast listeners that they’re bored. They’re eating the same foods all the time. Sound familiar? What’s the antidote without a complete upheaval to your routine? Working the globe!
Sure, you could make extra effort to buy something different at the grocery store. Or we could think about how your staple foods would be prepared around the world.
Using broccoli as an example, think for a moment about how various regions of the world prepare broccoli. You could prepare it Italian style: sauté florets with garlic, oregano, and throw some marinara sauce and parmesan cheese on top. Middle Eastern style could be fun! Bake it with tahini, hummus, and spice it up with za’atar and sumac! Moroccan style could include roasting it with lemon juice, coriander, cumin, garlic, and some cinnamon! These aren’t the only ways to “Work the Globe,” Chef Google can be your best friend here. If you take 3 minutes before heading to the grocery store, you can add those unique spices to your list…or it could be 30 seconds while standing in front of the fridge! Any food will work, and it truly doesn’t take much time at all.
