How Better Nutrition and Habits Can Make All the Difference Without a 4am Wake-Up

Mornings…

Mornings can be…a lot. There’s waking up/trying to wake up and likely hitting snooze once or twice (or five times). Getting ourselves ready, potentially getting others in the house ready, and out the door is like starting the day with a hike up Mount Kilimanjaro. There’s coffee to brew, fall coats to find, and, oh yea, breakfast! A bar of some kind from the pantry will have to do or maybe a quick stop at the coffee shop to give us a drop of joy! And don’t forget, Daylight Savings time is upon us. While the biannual changing of the clocks is still up for debate in the Senate, many of us feel that time change!

Adding to the pressure of mornings, we hear personal development experts tell us, those who are successful wake up at 4am, meditate for an hour, go outside for the first morning light, workout, take a cold shower, and eat breakfast before the rest of the world even thinks about waking up! Nothing quite compares to feeling behind the 8-ball as soon as the alarm goes off.

But what if that’s not what’s truly required? What if the point is to create a morning routine that serves each of us individually? What are the few changes that can be made to your mornings that benefit you in the long run? We can consider the role…
