Let’s call a spade a spade. Drinking water can be boring. Enter the myriads of brands offering flavored waters that are “healthier” than soda. Which is your favorite? Recently, a podcast listener asked me about the sparkling water brand Sparkling Ice.

Let’s take a deep dive together and keep reading for my favorite way to enjoy sparkling water with a pop of flavor on these hot summer days!

I’ve never tried Sparkling Ice myself, so I went to their website to do some digging! Sparkling Ice claims to contain antioxidants and vitamins. To which I ask: what are the sources of these ingredients and are they beneficial or just fancy marketing? As I keep exploring, I notice they have three different formulas: Classic, Caffeine, and Energy. While I recommend you review each one, I started with the classic formula.

The flavor I investigated was grape raspberry; it was the first one they had listed. In the marking callouts, they claim zero grams of sugar, zero carbs, and color from natural sources with a splash of vitamins and antioxidants. I want to dig deeper to see what and how much they do give us, rather than what they claim not to.
