A Bite-Size Read for Your Health and Waistline

When I heard about the three perspectives it caused a five-alarm fire in my head. As a health coach, podcaster, and content creator, I’m a sponge. I’m also an insatiable student so as I learn, I share with my clients, podcast listeners and you, dear reader!

I’ll preface this concept and the whole article by saying these are three perspectives from which we can view any situation or experience in our lives. This could include how we view our progress toward a goal (health-related or otherwise), our experience of a holiday, a frustrating day at work, or even a regular weekend outing. You can also zoom out and take this big picture, using the three perspectives to think about your life.

So what are they? The three perspectives are hero, victim, and learner.

If we take the hero’s perspective it might be, “Look at how amazingly I handle that thing at work. They would be lost without me; they wouldn’t have met the deadline without my effort.” Or when thinking about our health it could be affirming yourself, “I’m invincible! I can handle any event because everyone loves the salad that I’ve brought. And if I hadn’t brought it then the buffet wouldn’t have been the same.” It can feel awesome to view situations from the…
